Bringing together for the first time the contemporaneous work of American-born artist Man Ray and celebrated Australian photographer Max Dupain, the exhibition traces their shared spirit of experimentation through surrealist imagery, innovative photographic processes, and striking modernist compositions. Featuring more than 200 prints spanning the nude, still life, portraiture, fashion, and advertising, it also explores their creative relationships with Lee Miller and Olive Cotton.

Peter’s soundscape was conceived as a sonic counterpart to the artists’ inventive approach to form and meaning. Shifting between rhythm and stillness, tension and release, the music draws on the texture and poetry of their images, inviting visitors into a meditative and immersive experience that deepens the dialogue between sound and vision.
